Your Subscription Page is Now Called Shortlist

We’ve decided to scrap the old Subscription page and replace it with a new system which we’ve named Shortlist. Think of it as parsed down issue of Previews.

The way the new Shortlist system works is easy. While shopping, click the ADD TO SHORTLIST button on any series you would like to keep track of in the future. Now when you load up your Shortlist page you’ll see upcoming releases from series that you’ve shortlisted. Easy peasey.

These titles will not automatically be added to your pull list. You can now use your Shortlist page to select and purchase your upcoming books.

We’ve also kept your the titles you were previously subscribed to on your Shortlist page. And guess what?! The Remove This Series button on in Shortlist actually works now! Whoo!

We also squashed some other lingering bugs, fixed some design issues, and did a whole bunch of behind the scenes work to make Jesse’s life easier. Because we’re cool like that.

Hi, The shortlist is great. It would be nice to see if the items in the shortlist have been ordered already though. For example, when I look at the short list, it doesn’t tell me if any of the future books have already been ordered unless I click the view series button and view them all.
I think if you have the option to add them to a cart and checkout, then it needs to show if they have been already ordered.
    Thanks!

      Hey man,
The page does show that, with one exception. Did you recently change your account email address? Purchases on that page are tied to your account email. Unfortunately that’s part of the cart system’s javascript code and we can’t get around that. Like you said, you can see your purchases on the series archive pages because the cart system uses PHP there. We can’t do that on your Shortlist page because it would cripple the server.

Anyway, you can change your account email back to view previously purchased items on that page, or wait until your new purchases slowly take over. I wish there was a better way to do this, but, again, limits of the system.

    Hey Jake
I like the new shortlist. Still running into the same issue as before though. Stuff isn’t removing when I remove the series. Some examples on my list are The Terrifics, Coda, Catwoman, Spider-Man/Deadpool to name a few. Wanted to let you know

    See you soon buddy!
    Thanks

I’ve seen this too, but it seems to resolve itself. Try these two things.

      1) Clear your cache.

      2) The database is huge and sometimes it takes a literal minute or two to process, so hang on the page for a bit after removing a series.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have to ask: Are you logged in? If you’re not logged in and try to get to the shortlist page it’ll take you to the login page.

        Good to hear!

First, you can leave a comment here without actually being logged into the site. That’s what why I asked.

Second, perhaps your phone has an old version of the Shortlist page cached. It’s the same code everywhere, we don’t deliver anything different depending on device. It’s hard to troubleshoot without more information.
